  • The FAA requires certificate holders and aircraft owners with non-U.S. addresses to designate a U.S.-based point of contact, known as a U.S. Agent for Service. This agent receives official FAA correspondence on your behalf.

  • You do if you:

    • Hold an FAA certificate and live outside the U.S.

    • Own a U.S.-registered aircraft with a non-U.S. address

    This includes pilots, drone operators, mechanics, instructors, and more.

  • SkyAgent provides:

    • A U.S. address for FAA correspondence

    • Scanning and secure electronic forwarding of documents

    • Support in maintaining your compliance with FAA regulations

  • Just $69 per year, paid in advance. Your subscription renews automatically every 12 months unless canceled.

  • Failure to assign a U.S. Agent for Service may result in delays, denied certifications, or FAA noncompliance.

  • Most documents are forwarded electronically. If physical forwarding is needed, you can choose Standard or Express shipping for an added fee. In addition, you will be charged a $15 processing fee.

  • Yes, but no refunds are issued once your service period begins. You can turn off auto-renewal anytime from your account.

  • After you complete the registration process and are approved, you’ll receive instructions on how to assign SkyAgent as your agent of service through the FAA designated U.S. Agent for Service (USAS) website: https://usas.faa.gov/.

  • Protecting your privacy and securing your information is a top priority for us. All data within the SkyAgent portal uses advanced encryption standards. Data access is strictly limited to authorized personnel only. After digital submission to the client, all physical documentation is shredded leaving no trace.

  • Yes, SkyAgent’s office is in a secure building located in Plano, Texas (Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex). All forms of mail (U.S. Mail, FedEx, UPS, etc.) are delivered to the office Monday through Saturday, excluding U.S. federal holidays.
